Take a Tea Towel

Take a Tea Towel

Take a Tea Towel: 16 Beautiful Projects for Your Home by Jemima Schlee

Summary: Create clean, crisp, and practical projects for your home, inspired by the simplicity of Shaker designs, with this ingenious book Take a Tea Towel.  All of the projects use durable Irish linen tea towels and are featured in fresh and inspiring photographs. There are 4 different designs for each of the 4 main rooms–Bathroom, Kitchen, Laundry, and Workroom. Use the easy-to-follow seven project templates and quickly sew a Bathroom Window Panel, a Chef’s Apron, Padded Coat Hanger Covers, and Workroom essentials like a Knitting Needle Roll. All projects are suited for beginners and those who want to properly develop their skills. You will learn machine and hand-sewing techniques, plus a variety of interesting and attractive ways to adorn fabric.
Angies comments: There are some interesting projects in Take a Tea Towel. The book comes with many color photos, so you can see what you need to be doing for each project. However, I wouldn’t recommend this book to a beginner sewer. Some of the projects are somewhat elaborate and the instructions could at times be clearer.

Recommended for experienced sewers.
