Bracelets, Puppets & Purple Cow Adventures

What an incredible week of summer reading adventures at Tipton County Public Library! Week 6 was bursting with exciting activities, special guests, and creative fun for the whole family.

🌈 Family Storytime: Stories That Paint Our World

We had a wonderful time at our weekly Family Storytime, where we explored books and got creative. Families enjoyed an interactive reading experience filled with songs, movement, and plenty of giggles.

🎨 Virtual Author Talk with Raul The Third

We were thrilled to host a special virtual author talk with the incredibly talented Raul the Third! Known for his vibrant illustrations and engaging storytelling, Raul shared insights about his creative process and discussed how art can help us see the world in new and exciting ways. It was a fantastic opportunity for young artists and book lovers to learn from a professional illustrator. Check out our upcoming virtual author talks here: https://bitly.tiptonpl.org/author.

🌟 Friendship Bracelet Making

Our friendship bracelet-making events were a huge success! We hosted this popular craft activity at two locations. At our Windfall Branch, young readers had a blast creating colorful friendship bracelets while connecting with others. The excitement was contagious as everyone shared their creations! At Sharpsville Park, we took the creativity outdoors! The combination of nature and crafting at beautiful Sharpsville Park created incredible memories for all who attended. The finished bracelets were lovely, and we loved seeing new friendships form!

🎭 Puppet Show: “Percy the Purple Cow” by Roz Puppets

Our guests were treated to giggles and wonder at our special puppet show featuring Percy the Purple Cow! Presented by the talented Roz Puppets, this delightful performance captivated audiences of all ages with its colorful characters and engaging storyline. Percy’s adventures taught us about being unique and celebrating what makes us special.
