Taking “Color Our World” to the Tipton County Fair!

Instead of staying within our library walls, we decided to venture out into our vibrant community and visit the Tipton County Fair during Week 7 of our summer reading program. 

Community Connections at the Fair

There’s something genuinely magical about connecting with library patrons in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Our team had an absolute blast spending time at the fair, where we were able to chat with community members of all ages. From curious toddlers clutching cotton candy to grandparents sharing stories about their own library experiences, we heard from everyone!

What We Learned

The conversations we had were incredibly valuable and inspiring. We listened carefully as people shared their favorite library resources – from beloved children’s picture books to digital resources that help with job searches, from quiet study spaces to our popular programming. It was heartwarming to hear how the library serves as a cornerstone for so many in our community.

Even more exciting were the suggestions people had for new services and programs they’d love to see. Your input helps us continue to grow and evolve, meeting the needs of our community. We’re already taking notes and planning how we can incorporate some of these fantastic ideas!

Back to Our Regular Programming

As much as we loved our community adventure, we’re excited to return to our regular summer reading programs, including storytime and Hooked on Science. These activities continue to help us “Color Our World” with learning, creativity, and fun.
