Summer Reading @ the Library
Summer Reading June 1st – July 24th!
Summer Reading starts in:
Statistics point to a loss of learning that takes place during the summer months when children are no longer required to read on a daily basis. Those who do not read during the summer can lose up to three months of reading progress. This loss is cumulative—so by the end of 6th grade, children who do not read over the summer can be two years behind.
To add to the fun and create a sense of challenge to keep our children and teens reading, we offer incentives and prizes to those who participate throughout the summer.
